Every year, thousands of British die from skin cancer. Both long term sun exposure and sunburn cause skin cell damage, which can lead to the development of skin cancer. People with fair skin are at higher risk than people with darker skin.

Over the past 20 years or so, campaigns to heighten awareness of skin cancer have resulted in fewer people sunbathing and using sunbeds. However, the desire for the appearance of tanned skin is still high. Our clients can now enjoy a tan like the stars, deep, even and natural.

A St Tropez tan is a must have before any special occasion, such as balls, parties & weddings, and also as a pre-holiday treatment for those who wish to start their holiday with a tan (contains no SPF so you can tan through it).

St.Tropez's unique airbrush tanning treatment is much quicker than any other airbrush system, taking only 15 minutes. It is perfect for a busy schedule or a lunch hour treat. This revolutionary tanning system uses a High Volume, Low Pressure System that sprays in a very fine mist and dries rapidly, delivering a seamless, non streaky tan.

Therapist operated, the client stands in a sleek extraction unit that combines safety with design. Side panels and a roof with opaque finish provide maximum light penetration and a private spraying environment. An added benefit is that St.Tropez Ultimate Air is designed so that this stylish unit extracts excess spray so that there is no need for the client or the therapist to wear a face mask. The tan will vary in colour depending on skin type. A fairer skin will result in a gentle healthy glow while a darker, oily skin will have a deeper tan.

The tan will start to develop within two to three hours and will continue for a further four to five hours. At least eight hours should be allowed before showering. St.Tropez Ultimate Air can also be used to airbrush in a flattering body contouring application that gives definition and shading, accentuating areas like the cleavage and the hip bones.

St Tropez formulations contain a unique combination of 2 completely safe active ingredients that work together to give a gorgeously natural looking colour that fades naturally too.  The first, dihydroxyacetone (or DHA for short) is a colourless sugar that interacts with the amino acids in the surface layer of the skin to produce a temporary colour change - your tan.  This ingredient is combines with Erythulose, a naturally moisturising ingredient derived from raspberries, that works in the same way as DHA but it develops more slowly, giving you a smoother colour that lasts longer and fades more evenly.

Generally, with absolutely no sun exposure at all, a St Tropez tan usually lasts between 4-10 days.  The way the tan fades and the length of time it lasts is dependent on how each person naturally loses his or her skin.  Regular moisturising with the St Tropez Moisturiser is essential to prolong the duration of the tan, especially during hotter months or in dry climates to keep the skin nourished and conditioned.  St Tropez Body Polish must be used every 2-3 days to help the tan fade evenly.

You will not turn orange - St Tropezs range contains a green pigment to help counteract any orange tinge.  The products are uniquely formulated to work with your natural skin tone so, as your tan develops it will only go as dark as your skin would naturally tan.

• Skin should be free from self tan, any moisturisers, perfume, deodrant and aromatherapy oils. These can act as a barrier and prevent the tan from contacting your skin. The same applies to your face and the wearing of make-up.
• Waxing or shaving should be completed at least 24 hours prior to the treatment.
• The evening or morning before your treatment, exfoliate your entire body with St Tropez Body Polish.  Pay special attention to dry areas of your body such as your lower half or your legs, knees, ankles, top of feet, elbows and knuckles. Dont forget to use a facial scrub on the face and neck to remove the dead skin cells. • Wear loose, dark fitting clothing with a dark coloured underwear and sandles or flip flops wherever possible .  The guide colour may stain light hair, man-made fibres and wool. The solution washes out of most clothing very easily, but tends to stain light nylon materials

Immediately following your tanning treatment you should:

Wait at least 8 hours after your tanning application before showering or bathing.  The tan will keep developing for up to 24 hours.   You need to allow enough time for the reaction to take place-the longer the better.  When you first shower do not be alarmed if you see the colour washing off  as this is just the applicator colour.  Apply the St Tropez Moisturiser after your post tan shower and everyday thereafter.  Please note lotions containing Alpha Hydroxyl Acids are used to increase exfoliation and will therefore break down your tan.

• Apply St Tropez Moisturiser daily.
• Exfoliate your skin with St Tropez Body Polish every 2-3 days .
• After showering pat the skin dry rather than rubbing
